Job role on the site - Co owner and global administrator / moderator on the forum. Rick is in charge of developing Girlsnmotors, and as an SEM and SEO proffesional and already working closely with the search engines is head of marketing and driving the site forwards.
How you got into the scene - I have always had a strong interest in cars from a very early age having grown up being around fairly decent cars. I managed to get my first glimpse into the modified car scene after purchasing a modified Vauxhall Astra GTE 2.0 16V which I mainly took to shows like Meanstreet in Essex and down to the seafront at Southend.
After purchasing a Nissan Skyline in Autumn 2003 I decided that after spending such a considerable amount of money on a car I should really "do something with it" and this is how I really got into the scene. In the time I have owned this awesome piece of kit it has been featured in many magazines including Fast Car, Redline, Banzai, Max Power and many more.
The modified car scene is to me one huge family of all types of people that have one common interest .... CARS .... no matter what people think the great majority of these people are not the "boy racer" type that we they are all labelled (that's just a minority inflated by the goverment and media to increase revenues through fines etc), we all simply have an interest that others obviously don't understand or wish to capitalise on.
Few words about yourself - I'm a fairly laid back easy going type of person I enjoy socialising and meeting new people all of the time. I will talk to anyone that gives me the time, I only have one rule which is I give respect to those that give me the same respect back.
Best show experience - Fast Car rang me up and asked me to go to the International Tuning Salon in Mechelen (Belgium). I was a little dubious at first but the lengthy drive at an ungodly hour proved to be well worth it, the flemish certainly know how to organise a car show without a doubt, much better than any English show I have ever been to.
