Christmas 2005 Bowling In Cambridge
Well the morning of the meet was finally here and I was soooo excited at the thought that I was finally going to meet some of the nutty GnM lot! lol.
Rob got up pretty early that morning as he had a few things to do before we went, and I got up early too and started getting sorted for when Kat and my mum came over. They turned up about 2.30ish and I was well excited by this point. Think we finally left about 4.30 as we were waiting for a certain someone to turn up but we left without him in the end and met up with him on the way. I was really nervous on the drive to Cambridge as I can be pretty shy when I 1st meet people and was dead worried that no one would like me lol. We got a little bit lost once we got into Cambridge, and had to ring Andy who gave us great directions despite already being a bit tipsy! (As usual). We finally got there and parked the cars up, hell now I was really getting nervous. We all piled out of the car and I rang Kat as we had lost her and Josh in the multi storey lol. She had bumped into Paula, Rick and the Lil Dude. We waited for Kat and Josh at the entrance, and then we all walked into the bowling place looking for the GnM people that were already there.
Surprise Surprise we found them in the bar area lol was only 3 there though. Andy (Mad Mechanic), Sam (Red) and some other bloke (sorry can’t remember his name lol). One noticeably thing that first hit me was that Andy was a lot shorter than I had expected! haha.
Following the introductions, I toodled off to the bar to start my mission of getting drunk lol. By this time a few more people turned up including the boss man and lady and of course the lil dude who I quickly kidnapped all to myself and I kinda hogged him for the rest of the night! haha.
First game of Bowling started at 7pm and myself along with Kat and my mum and a few others just stood back and watched and whilst getting tipsy, slowly and surely! We all stood about chatting, drinking and just generally having a good time. During the 1st game a few more people turned up including Redsi (Kirst), Minimadgirl (Sarah), Caddyman (Steve) and Lea and her mate Brett. I think Andy (MadMechanic) got bored of using the bowling ball and decided Kirst (Redsi) would be a good replacement lol. He picked her up and pretended to launch her down the alley lol.
I stood back eating chips and onion rings, drinking vodka and coke and smirnoff ices, whilst hogging Kyler and just generally observing how nuts everyone really was! You see up until that night I had thought it was all just an act on the forum, but no everyone really was nuts! lol.
During the 2nd game a few more waifs and strays turned up and Paula and Rick took Lil Dude home cos he was getting tired. Bless him. I’m telling you they had a mission and a half trying to prise him away from me! haha. Kat and Josh also went home sometime during the 2nd game, lame asses! Joke lol
After the 2nd game we retired to the arcade where the lads jumped straight on the car racing games, Kirst and Lea jumped on the dance game and showed us all how it was done and Andy loved the change machine, it kept giving him money, it was the only thing he didn’t lose throughout the whole night. No one had the heart to tell him that if you put a note in it gives you change. haha bless him lol.
Rob wanted to leave because Reiley was getting tired but I was waaaay pissed by this point and wanted to stay, so Lea offered to give my mum and I a lift home with her and Brett so we stayed!
Everyone decided to have a 3rd bowling game at 10pm, by which point myself and pretty much everyone else was pretty drunk as me and Lea nicked a load of santa hats from some old men next to us (I still have mine lol). After the fun and laughter of the 3rd game we retired to the bar area where we continued to drink and be loud and rowdy. Me, Lea, Kirst and my mum where bopping along to the music all around the bar area and people where looking at us like we were all nuts! (Of course they were just jealous because we were having more fun than them lol).
A few of us went and joined in the line of the Cha Cha slide on the alleys. The line went from the 1st alley right up to the last alley. We went back after and carried on acting like pratts in the bar area.
Got to about 12 and everyone was Waaay pissed and getting a bit tired so the few of us hard core party people that were left decided to make our way home. After saying our Goodbyes outside we all toodled off to the cars. We got home about 1am I think (remember I was drunk) to find Rob and Zo in the garage working on the cars whilst Kat and Josh were sound asleep on the sofa in the living room. We carried on a mini party at mine and Robs. Didn’t last long though and Lea and Brett left and Kat and Josh went back to sleep and I retired to my pit and passed out drunk. haha.
All in all a great night was had by everyone. Most of us drank waaay to much and laughed waaay to hard, but then again it wouldn't have been a GnM meet if we hadn't. Was great to meet people and roll on the 2006 summer car shows is all I say so we can continue the madness.
