Vwmadgirl's Redline Rumble 2005 Review

Well to be honest i was a little worried about camping over at Redline as baby was due in 20 days and didn’t really want to be camping and going into labour.... but it was only fair to let baby go to its first show even if it wasn't on the outside world, and as it was Girls n motors first show I couldn’t miss out , so took the chance ...Camping all went fine, bit of a mission watching Rick and everyone putting up the tents, hard work all this watching you know :o) Was really nice to Spend some time all together camping, drinking(not me of course) and having a BBQ and just getting the feel for the next day, was bloody cold that night and I was pretty uncomfortable and shivering and didn’t really feel I fitted in that well , but what did I expect 38 weeks pregnant and the size of a house...lol but me and the mascot wrapped our self’s up in every piece of clothing I had and my coat and duvet and cuddled up with my hubby to be to keep warm......After Waking up a good few times, needing the toilet .... but not being bothered to get out of the tent because it was so cold I finally dragged myself out about 6.30 am and went ..and stayed up because everyone was up revving there cars which is a normal sound a night camping at a car show ...So I got ready and made a start on the BBQ for breakfast....we washed the car , well I watched Rick wash the car and waited for the phone calls to roll in of the other members arriving at the gate and needing passes to get on the stand.

First to arrive was Alanna and her convoy from Milton Keynes,I went down to meet her and give them all passes and then we all headed back to the stand, when we got back we all made our way to where our stand was and started to arrange all the cars on the stand ,was a bit of a mission but we got there in the end and it started to look wicked with Jays Skyline R34 and Forza's Ferrari F355 Spider taking prime spots on the site, with also alanna's 206, my VR6,Miss R5's R5,Reds Golf, Caddymans Golf, Keens Supercharged VR6,Rob's uno turbo, Pittuf's VR6,Jays mates Xsara, AJ’s girlfriends and another smart car nicely tucked into each corner, Wayne's Astra and his brothers civic, It all went together better than we could have imagined.

Once that was all sorted we could all relax a bit, and then all the girlsnmotors babes all with there pink t-shirts on started to come together on the stand, so I got out the flyers and handed them out and they all went out and did there bit giving out the flyers and catching everyone’s eyes with the bright pink t-shirts they were wearing. And also my sister Miss R5 in the Girlsnmotors hotpants and top set (see pics )which i will be wearing at USC just wouldnt have had the same effect me wearing it with the girlsnmotors mascot nearly full term in my belly lol, That outfit sure went down a treat thats for sure, attracting , redline magazine and max power and a few others ...

Me and Rick had a walk about to see what was going on over the other side of the strip and watched some ¼ mile action for a while and then it was lunch time , we had a pizza and then watched fire force do there thing, we was stood at the back of the ¼ mile in the stand, but I soon moved as they started warming up, baby jumped at the first loud bang so I soon moved out of the stand and round the corner till it was over.

We carried on having a wonder about looking at all the stands and drifting, and took some more photos of our stand, and all start on the chairs that we brought with us which was a godsend my back was killing me by now, and with it being so nice and warm I found it quite hard going, and everyone looked a little red around the face’s from being in the sun all day… caught everyone one out that’s for sure...

Well to sum it all up, Redline rumble 2005 was a top day, top stand , top people, top cars and top weather , what more could we ask for for our 1st stand of the year...one to be remembered and its set the standard for the rest of the girlsnmotors stands this year, and I’m looking forward to being able to join all the PR girls next time.
