Lea's Redline 2006 Review

Cha-bang! What a funny weekend.. Right from the start, it was a good giggle.. I grabbed a train to Cambridge. Ok well i didnt grab it.. i got aboard the train, and Andy had the pleasure of meeting me the other side.. How lucky! We stopped off at his so he could sort himself out, whilst i amused myself over his kitchen cupboard door handles.. Ok re-phrase.. Hmm, i cant actually re-phrase that.. Anyway! All packed up and off we went, making a stop at the coolest Tesco on earth.. It had an escalator AND an opticians.. Monster munch, booze, disposable champagne "glasses".. I was well away! Andy got me flakes.. lots of flakes.. yum!!

Finally we arrived at Santa Pod and found GnM.. Right at the back of a field.. But it was all good! The tent was already set up and burgers were being cooked! Sarah was running about like a mental nutcase.. But wait! She is a mental nutcase..

Andy inflated the airbed and i snuggled myself up on it, under his duvet.. lol.. It was rather comfortable in bed, in a field, surrounded by strangers, with a burger.. Everyone just chilled out and before we knew it, it was around 8pm-ish and the beer tent was in full swing.. or was it later than that? I really don't know!

Girls were dancing around the pole, stripping naked and everyone was having a great time. Spent most of that time dancing with Andy and Jay.. and a few others from another site. Made it back to the site after the music stopped, at only 12am.. and listenned to the site next to us throwing up.. Pleasant! Sarah and Steve were fast asleep in the orange van.. That is, fast asleep until we got back.. Conversations about running naked and Mum's woke Sarah up. Eventually got to sleep around 3ish and woke up the next morning with drenched hair.. Was there a hole in the tent? No idea.. but i was a state..

Sarah's friend Emma left for work, along with Lee, and a few people arrived. First was Matt and his darling girlfriend Michelle! I told her to join the site, and she said she would :D.. Then Alanna showed up.. Then Kirsty.. Oh the fun with Kirsty!! And not long after, Paula, Rick and sweetiepie Kyler.. We strolled around, checking everything out.. The weather was cold, the sky was dull.. But we were all smiling.. The few of us that were actually there anyway lol..

Me and Kirsty spent most of the day all over Kyler..But who could blame us.. He's adorable!! Sarah spent most of the day getting excited over the attention her Mini got (I need to phrase things better lol) The pinkster even won a trophey (Sarah.. I just named your Mini the pinkster.. sorry lol)

After Kirsty sent us in the wrong direction to the cash point, Paula and Rick managed to get some cash and we all went to get some food. Shortly after we had an "educational" experience riding the simulator, whilst Andy had an "educational" experience waiting for us with Kyler.. Let's just say, the £2.50 was a rip off, and the "experience" was dissapointing..

We all went back to our part on the field, and said our goodbyes.. Me and Kirsty however danced our goodbyes.. The goodbye dance!! Everyone enjoyed it! Just before me and Andy planned to set off, Kirsty made me run all the way back over to watch the jet car again.. I had to run up a damn hill..

We sipped some tea, then all 3 of us made our way home.. Andy dropped me off at the station 3 minutes before the train was ready to depart, and off i went home..

To sum it up, we made the most of what could of been an awful weekend, and we had an absolute blast doing it.
