Trax, Silverstone Circuit, 5th September 2004
We set of for trax about 10am and what a day to have it on the sun was shinning and it was lovely and warm, so we made our way up the motorway to trax which was held at silverstone grand prix circuit, we knew this was going to be a biggy as being held at Silverstone you just knew there was going to be a big crowd there and that was no understatement…….
As we turned into silverstone there was loads and loads of cars in the public car park and you could here the track action going on in the distance, we parked up and then saw people off the fast and furious stand who asked if we wanted to park up the vr6 on there club stand, which I jumped at and they had the best spot there aswell….
So we followed them into the pit lane and drove up to there stand which was in the prime postion ,and probally the best space there was there , we parked up the car and made our way to look round the show…….started off trying to find the place to book in to have a go round the famous Silverstone track, the place was massive and took us awhile to find it, when we did was told we would have to hire a suit and helmet as I was wearing a skirt and bikini top..(well it was 33c out there !!!!!) so decided to give it a miss and just enjoy the day looking at all the cars and stands….
We walked all around the club stands, where we saw the boro cruisers, mig web, rs owners, scooby club, zetec owners club and every other club that means anything was there, and also magazine stands like fast car, max power, redline and fuel all doing there usual show with the girls and strip pass the hat !!! and of course on most of the stands there was the usual models who stand there and try and look pretty (most of them aren’t) while salivating hot blooded males have their pictures taken with them.
All in all this was most probably the show of the year, it was absolutely jam packed with car enthusiasts from all over the UK, being such a gorgeous weekend after such a poor rainy August certainly helped the cause.
