Trax - Fast and Furious Stand - 5th September 2004
After arriving to Trax at Silverstone we parked in the main car park and started to walk towards the ticket office to purchase our entry ticket, when a modified red BMW with a huge wing came slowly past us, and out of the window a guy shouted at me "do you wanna stick your Skyline on our stand mate" ... after double taking I realised it was one of the lads from Fast and Furious the local modified car parts shop from Hitchin just up the road from where I live.
Of course I would have jumped at the chance but my Skyline was still in the garage having it’s clutch done so I suggested that Paula’s Golf VR6 would be suitable instead, so the guys handed us some half price tickets (cheers lads) and a pit pass then we jumped into the VR6 and followed the guys to the stand.
It was dam bus so took us a fair while to get through the masses to the stand which happened to be about as far away as you could get (in the scrutineering paddock, the best spot of the show), it was a good opportunity to see what was happening on all the other stands though.
We followed James in his gorgeous Evo VII who had just come back from racing round the track so it was steaming hot still lol, and waited for him to park before parking ourselves, and after a little jiggling around got the car in the perfect position.
There was the usual cool cars that are associated with the Fast and Furious boys, like the Range Rover Vogue with 22" Alloys (they are big see the pic with Paula standing next to them lol), obviously the Evo a few Mercs the rest are in the pics below. Also there was the BBQ and the decks were setup and blasting the tunes out, another usual sighting for the stand.
Big thanks to the Fast and Furious boys it was good to be on your stand ;o)
